Paying it forward!

On August 24, 2019 we had the pleasure of supporting an incredible group of young people - the James L. Bland Houses Youth Leadership Council (JLBYLC)

First Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Throughout the year these young leaders work on various campaigns to improve their community - such as beautification, anti-violence, adolescent obesity and gender bias. This year they are working on addressing the lack of resources for their peers, their community center has been closed for almost 10 years, currently they are in the process of circulating their petition with the goal of obtaining over 1,000 names, next they are planning a news conference, and scheduling meetings with various elected officials!

The AmirWear Pledge

Originally AmirWear (AW) was established exclusively for Amir, however thanks to the overwhelming support AW has turned into an amazing phenomenon. When the decision was made to actually tell Amir's story globally, we wanted to make certain that besides offering stylish t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies with Amir's silhouette the goal of AW is to bring awareness to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). None of the JLBYLC members are on the spectrum however the group is lead by our Founder & Creative Director Amir‘s dad Curtis Williams, https://instagram.com/mr.cjw?igshid=caym26u6av9c who‘s firm believe of supporting young people. During the holiday months (November - December) the JLBYLC will be taking part in various “Season of Sharing” events like feeding the homeless and organizing coat drives.
